When I first bought Specialty Drapery two and a half years ago, the company was primarily a custom design drapery workroom - one of the largest in the Mid Atlantic. The thing that intrigued me most about the Specialty Drapery business was the opportunity I saw to expand the business to be much more than a drapery workroom.

I envisioned a full-line window treatment resource company that would serve all of the needs of interior designers, architects, builders and novice "do-it-yourselfers." I wanted to build a company that would enhance designers' creativity and help them quickly and efficiently choose and implement window decor and fashion.

We have made great strides in achieving this mission. In a very short time, Specialty has also become the Mid Atlantic's premiere expert in sun and lighting control, as well as automation and motorization.
